Hey guys!
Usually I don’t put up this sort of thing anywhere because I’m never sure whether it’s spam or not. However I know for SURE that this is not spam because it is my own boss’s initiative!
Basically there is a competition being held by Axe (deodorant) where if you get enough votes you enter the draw to go to space. Now originally my boss wouldn’t be interested in such a thing, but one of his friends approached him and told him that they’d sponsor one rand for every vote he gets in order to help him pay for a child’s education here in South Africa.
Now anyone who knows third world countries well enough should know that education here is NOT FREE. It’s a huge privilege to go to school here and get an education.
The best part about this? He doesn’t even have to win to get the money. He just needs a TON of votes! And wah-lah! A child’s education is sponsored!
My coworkers and students are even building a spacecraft on Minecraft for the initiative! (WIP pictured above).
So, I’m going to get down on my knees and ask that you share this, reblog or at least just vote! Just liking this post won’t do much!
